My Story

Hello and welcome!

My name is Caitlyn, and I'm the owner of Sacred Willow Massage in Carmel, NY. My passion for massage therapy began at the young age of nine years old when I was drawn to a book on reflexology in a bookstore. I didn't understand why at the time, but I was completely fascinated with the fact that certain points of the foot could be directly connected to the functions of the rest of the body. I would read this book while teaching myself how to do reflexology techniques on my baby brother, who of course loved it as much as I did. I couldn't explain my interest, but from that moment on I knew I had an undescribable passion for the human body and healing.

 

Fast forward to a number of years later, while working an unforgiving job in a poorly managed medical office, I decided I had to get back to my passions in life. I knew there was so more to life than working a job that drained me physically, mentally, and spiritually, so I took the journey of massage school at Finger Lakes School of Massage in Mount Kisco, NY while working full time. Although it wasn't easy, It was the best decision I've ever made and was a huge catapult in transforming my life. I'm so grateful for this experience.

 

After 5 years in the field, I am truly honored to now offer my work in Putnam County! My passion for soul and body connection fuels what I do, and truly takes my work to another level. My intuitive approach to massage therapy allows me to create a session that is not only therapeutic to the physical body, but one that is deeply therapeutic to the soul.
